The Origin of Diverse Kinds of Life Job
12:7-10
0. Mechanism
of Creation
God created diverse kinds of life
simultaneously within a short time frame. Each kind (baramin = created
kind) was created as a distinct type, fully formed and functional. Variation
within a kind was established for survivability.
The
creation model can be represented by a series of distinct trees in a forest;
each tree representing a separate kind (baramin). Genesis 1
Evolution
supposes that all diverse kinds of life evolved over time from a common
ancestor; this idea can be represented by a single branching bush connecting
all kinds of life
yet, scientific evidence supports the fact that God created
distinct kinds of life.
1. Evidences
of Creation
a. fossil record
fossils are the remains of once living
creatures
how are fossils formed?
what is the fossil record a record of?
(1)
Cambrian explosion a specific fossil layer contains all the phyla (basic body
plans) found on earth today; multiple, simultaneous creation events of distinct
kinds of life
(2)
Multiple abrupt appearances fossil life found as distinct kinds; kinds are
identifiable as many fossil forms are similar to extant life
Genesis
7:20-23
Matthew
24:37-39
2
Peter 3:5-6
Interpretation
(1) beginning sudden creation event functional life at the start;
multiple,
simultaneous creation events of distinct kinds of life
(2)
kinds created distinctly and fully formed and functional;
each
kind had an independent origin
b.
Classification
The
taxonomy system is based upon distinctions (differences) between kinds.
Carolus
Linnaeus (1707-1778) was a Christian, creationary scientist who created the
modern classification system specifying an organisms Genus and Species.
Leviticus 19:19
1 Corinthians 15:38-40
James 3:12
Interpretation
life was created as distinct kinds
c.
Interdependencies
The marvelous fit of organisms to
their environment
Examples of mutualism
Isaiah 65:25
Proverbs 6:6-8
Interpretation
the biosphere is a designed system
