CS Student Professional Organization

Under the student leadership of Matt Lorfeld and the faculty advisement of Prof. Jeff Williams, a student chapter of the ACM has begun on campus! "ACM, the Association for Computing Machinery, is an international scientific and educational organization dedicated to advancing the arts, sciences ,and applications of information technology." This group allows students to learn through guest speakers, industry tours, and workshops which can benefit our community. If you are interested in joining a student chapter of the ACM, email Matt Lorfeld  (matthew.lorfeld@cuw.edu)

The computer science department will subsidize the dues of any student wishing to join the ACM. As part of the student chapter of the ACM, I would like to see "service projects" undertaken by student members. Please contact Gary Locklair with ideas and suggestions.
