The IBM PC XT ("eXtended Technology") was the successor to the IBM PC. Among the most notable improvements over the earlier model were more RAM and the addition of a hard drive. Later models added support for a 101-key (instead of an 84-key) keyboard and 3.5" floppy drive.
The PC XT is a very heavy machine. This makes it hard to move around easily, but the machine is very durable. The XT was replaced with the XT 286 in 1986.
